Description: FlashMonkey is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team. In this role you will learn a lot about 'organic growth' and 'how to successfully bootstrap a start-up'. You will have the chance to try new ideas while contributing to growth and marketing goals. You will assist with core promotional activities on different off and online channels, and also help create and test new communication methods. Our ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated, outgoing and dynamic individual who is looking to make an immediate impact. Specifically, this position may involve some of the following tasks:

• Assist in the marketing strategies planning and execution
• Help managing and implementing the new user acquisition campaigns
• Attend weekly/biweekly team meetings over Zoom. Participate in the brainstorming sessions and suggest out of the box ideas that align with company's vision and mission
• Collaborate with the Creative and Marketing teams on efforts to grow our user base and social media following
• Communicate with our users via different channels to drive awareness for our brand and engagement
• Assist in organizing marketing events and distributing marketing materials
• University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL
• Familiar with the Greek Life and/or involved in Sports

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in at least one on campus course.
• Experience with Social Media Marketing and Communications. Must have excellent communications skills.
• Be creative.

Major: Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing and Art related degrees are preferred, but all majors may be considered.

Remote: Yes

Pay: This position is a mentored position. As such, in most situations it is not paid unless the intern qualifies for pay. However, there is an additional program that is unrelated to the internship that you may be given access to. Further details are available if you are accepted as an intern.

Incentives: As mentioned under pay. If accepted as an intern, there is an additional program to earn cash payment that you may be given access to. It is generally limited to potential interns, although being an intern is not a requisite.
